Orthodontics

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that diagnoses and treats irregularities in our teeth, jaws and face.

The main purpose of orthodontics is to correct biting, chewing and speech functions by providing a good bite. In this way, the person's self-confidence increases with a beautiful smile.

Contrary to popular belief, orthodontic treatment can be performed at any age. It is very important to have a healthy bite in childhood as well as in adulthood in terms of general oral hygiene and dental functions.

Orthodontic treatment with clear aligners /Invisalign:

Also known as wire-free orthodontics or invisible braces.

Special transparent plastic-like materials, called as aligners, are used for the treatment. In this way, they are easily preferred in patients with nickel-like metal allergies.

After the digital measurements of the patients are taken, the treatment is performed with specially prepared transparent aligners. Each aligner is worn for at least 20 - 22 hours a day for 1-3 weeks. The patient removes the aligners for meals and tooth brushing.

The aligners are designed to gradually move the teeth according to the orthodontist's treatment plan until the desired alignment is achieved. The duration of the treatment varies for each patient.

It is a treatment method that can be used easily in every age group. It is a very comfortable treatment method especially for patients with aesthetic concerns and young age group patients.

Fixed orthodontic treatment / Braces:

Known as classical orthodontic treatments.

It is a treatment method in which metal or porcelain brackets are fixed to the front surface or inner surface of the teeth and tooth movement is provided by passing wires over them.

It is not possible to be removed by the patient, treatments are performed with monthly controls.

Preventive/orthodontic treatment with removable or fixed appliances:

These are treatments with removable or fixed devices used to correct some habits (such as inserting teeth between two jaws) and prevent some disorders that have developed in children in the age of growth and development. These devices can be applied to one or both jaws.
