What are laminate veneers?

Laminate veneers are generally applied to patients with cracked, broken or discolored teeth.

Laminate veneers are thin porcelain or ceramic restorations bonded to the front surface of the teeth. It can be applied to a single tooth or to more teeth when planning an aesthetic smile.

The color and shape are specially designed for the patient.

Before the laminate veneer is made, a thin section is removed from the enamel layer of the tooth(s) to be treated. Depending on the needs of the patient, conventional or digital impressions are taken and the construction is completed in the laboratory or in the clinic using CAD/CAM systems.

It is adhered to the tooth surface with material-specific adhesives. The treatment is permanent.
